Fund Raising Events

It seemed an almost impossible task to raise £200,000 to save St Mary’s church but we are pleased to report we are well on the way and the restoration work is almost complete.
The Appeal was successfully launched at the church on May 18th 2000. A big thank you to all who supported that event and to the many who have given generous gifts and donations. Also to all who have continued to support the church fund raising events.

But there is still along way to go to secure the upkeep and future of our church

How can you help?

· Make a donation – either a lump sum or monthly standing order. No sum is too small. If you are a taxpayer the Church can get a further 28% from the taxman. If you are a higher rate taxpayer you can even save some tax yourself! Contact the Treasurer, Mr Paul Kingdom, E-mail paul@kingdom.fsnet.co.uk

· Hold a fund raising event – if you or your group have an idea for a fund raising event please contact one of the churchwardens (see these pages for details).

· Volunteer to help – we are always looking for fresh blood and new ideas for the Appeal Committee. Contact the churchwardens.

· Support the fundraising events and have a good time as well as helping to save your village Church.
