He owned about 1722 in Rooksbridge Som. Rooksbridge Farm. (Now called 'Old Manor Farm'). 'Rooksbridge Farm'. Now Known as 'The Old Manor'. Was by 1688 in the possession of Richard Ivyleaf of Blackford Nr Wedmore. who held the leasehold. Then it included 22 acres. By 1698 he had acquired the freehold. It remained in the ownership of the Ivyleaf family intil 1827. By then it extended to 152 acres.
It was sold to a Richard Meade-King in 1827 with 132 acres.
It is believed the 'Rooksbridge Farm' name was changed to the Old Manor in the late 1800's to avoid confusion with 'Rooksbridge House Farm' close by, owned by George Arney.
