"Hollington farms, Homesteads and Lands 1884" makes no reference to John's farms

In Hobsons Directory 0f 1915-16 as "Miss Wood, confectioner, Church Street, Ashbourne".

Her elder sister died when Kate was about nine. "Kate, then, as the eldest, having previously been second child, was thrust into a role of responsibility, particularly as younger brothers and sisters kept appearing and their gentle mother was
