In an attempt to find her marriage cert I tried Mary Ann Emery 4 Nov 1880, but this appears to be incorrect since the male is William Baker.
She died 2 July 1911 of heart deases. There was a coroners inquest the next day. Very Speedy!!

31/1/04 Spoke to Desmond Emery (72) in Highbridge 01278783387 He tells me there are three distinct families of Emerys in the area.
Emerys had large estates in Bentwood area of Essex. May have been Norman origin. One left the family in disgrace and settled in Somerset, giving rise to the Emerys there.

South Brent was renamed Brent Knoll because of confusion with South Brent in Devon. (GWR trains used to drop passengers and goods at the wrong place.)

Then spoke to Sara Kew 01278 781987 who has been researching the Emerys. She will try to find out details for me.-3 weeks later- she has had computer problems and fears that all is lost. Says that she may be able to locate old paper records from years ago, in which case she will contact me.
