Elizabeth "Betsy" NUTTYCOMBE and Richard "SEVIOUR/SAVIER" SEVIER were married on 20 April 1833 in South Brent, SOM.^102,267 They^102,267 lived in Badgeworth, somerset about 1851.^115,235 They^115,235 lived in East Brent. Som. about 1861.¹¹⁵ Betsy and SEVIOUR/SAVIER¹¹⁵ lived in East Brent, Somerset in 1871.²⁵¹ 1871 census records two grand-daughters, Lily DUNN age 3 and Rosa DUNN age 4. on a visit. Children were: William SEVIER (SAVIOR\LEVIER\SVIOUR!), Marianne SEVIER, Mary SEVIER, Anna Maria SEVIER, Eliza Jane SEVIER, John SEVIER, Henry "SEVIOUR" SEVIER, Elizabeth SEVIER, Richard "SEVIOUR" SEVIER, Charles Albert "SEVIOUR" SEVIER.

Samuel and his family moved to London about 1870's and settled in Wandsworth.
Later descendants settled in Portsmouth Hants area in 1930's.

A windmill is recorded at South Brent in the early 1330s on the estates of Glastonbury Abbey of value £2, and a windmill is marked on John Ogilby’s road map of 1675. The last windmill to work in the parish was Skackleton’s Mill and Ellis Shackleton is recorded as miller in the trade directories for 1861,1866 and 1875. This mill stood at the first site on the lower slopes of Brent Knoll between South Brent Church and the Dun Cow Inn, and is said to have been a stone tower mill. It is understood to have been pulled down in the early 1900s and the masonary re-used to build a dwelling house nearby. Shackleton seems to have been a bit of a character, from the following information. Shackleton was a Quaker who ran into debt and was troubled by him creditors. He would only discuss business matters when employed in his mill. If a creditor called at his private house, Shackleton would tell him this. However repeated visits to the mill itself met with no response and the creditor reproached Shackleton for breaking his promise. The miller replied ‘ I said I would see thee if thou camest to the mill, I did see thee through the door, and I liked not the look of thee’ and stalked off.

The second site is evident from the Tithe Award, perhaps the location of an earlier mill.
