She died in Sept 1946 of liver failure. Her residence was 47 Batholomew Rd, which backed onto Rochester Rd where her son James and family were living.

Ethel was living at 133 Holcombe St at the time of her marriage to Joseph Reilly.
The marriage cert for Ethel to Joseph Reilly 17/10/1914 says her father was James Gee (deceased) a Molder. Mother was not present

The 1901 census shows the Gee family at the same address with the head being Mary A Gee, four children inc Ethel, and Mary's mother Elizabeth Lyndon. 'James Gee' was not listed maybe dead, or in prison?
In 1901 Ethel is 8, ie born in April 1892- March 1893.
The birth cert is for 12 dec 1892. Mother Mary Ann Gee, but no father.
Perhaps he died before she was born, ie during 1892 **TO BE CHECKED**
The reference to Elizabeth Lyndon as 'mother' is puzzling, since according to the birth certificate for Elizabeth Sara, her maiden name was Cooper. later comment - she remarried.
