Brent Knoll, East Brent and Lympsham branch of the Mothers Union

East Brent Pre-school group.

There are vacancies available for the new term in our Pre-school youngsters group.

The East Brent First school enjoys close links with East Brent Pre-school group which meets at the school on Friday mornings throughout the year. This enables young children to become familiar with the buildings, other children and the staff. This is a great advantage and encourages the children to settle more quickly when admitted to school. The reception class teacher also liases with other local pre-school providers and visits them in the summer term.

Red Cow Quiz Nights 2007 - 2008

Now we are all back from our summer holidays, it must be time to start planning your winter evening entertainment at the Red Cow.

Last year’s quizzes were again very successful and helped raise funds for the Parish Hall and may have even helped raise a few IQ’s not to mention a few eyebrows!

These evenings are a lovely way to finish off the weekend, with a sociable get together over a glass or two.  This year we have a variety of Quiz Masters lined up so there is bound to be something for everyone’s taste.

You can come along in teams of up to 5 members and you answer as a team (so no one is put “on the spot”).  Come with friends or family, it still only costs £ 2 per person.  Prizes are awarded per round to the winning teams (£3-1st and £1-2nd); there is often a Bottle of Wine to win as well.

The Quiz Nights run throughout the winter months every Sunday in the Red Cow Skittle Alley at 8pm.
